He marks a new chapter in the history of Morning Sun Arabians representing the best of Bey Eclypse in the second generation through one of his best daughters, in combination with the tradition and excellence of Poland.

MS Aurelius is the first foal sired by a significant outside stallion. His sire Ecaho was selected for his superlative phenotype as well as his incomparable genetics. Ecaho has blessed Aurelius with his best qualties - authentic Arabian type, regal presence, quality and refinement, tremendous length and shape of neck, abundant substance, elegant harmony of proportion, ideal structure and capable athleticism.

The selection of *Ecahofor the Morning Sun program led to a trip to Poland in 2006, during which time another of the exceptional Ecaho get was incorporated into the breeding program - the beautiful Janow Podlaski-bred Celesta. Morning Sun has since added another Ecaho daughter to the broodmare band - the ultra-dynamic Polonia JCA.

Through Ecaho, Aurelius combines the best of legendary sires Bandos, Palas, Witraz, Negatiw, Aswan and Czort with the immortal brood matrons Bandola, Piewica, Forta, Taraszcza & Etna. Both his paternal grandparents are international champions: PEPTON was named Polish National Champion Stallion, All Nations Cup Champion Stallion 10 & over and Polish Racehorse of the Year; Etruria will always be remembered as one of the greatest mares in the history of the breed as Polish National Champion, European Champion & twice World Champion Mare. In addition to her show ring accomplishments, Etruria was also the dam of 5 international champions, all of whom inherited her incomparable presence and her dynamic athleticism. Pepton was considered the most athletic and correctly conformed Polish stallion of the modern era, with the longest and most elegant neck.

Maternally, MS AURELIUS belongs to the most successful Morning Sun dam family through foundation mare Antezza. His dam, MS Adrianna Bey, was a Regional winner in halter. Now engaged in broodmare duties, Adrianna has produced two champion sons in her first two outings as a dam. Adrianna is a full sister to four other Regional and National winners, including MS Angelina Bey, MS Sincerely Bey, MS Anteygo Bey and MS Angel in Waiting.

MS Aurelius has held up the high standard of his heritage as a succesful show horse, winning several major titles at the Regional level. He is now showing great promise as a very talented performance horse. We anticipate a bright future ahead for "Marcus"!
